Chemical peels can be harsh on the skin with no guarantee that it'll work on your blackheads. There are many cleansers that you can purchase to help rid of those stubborn spots. Witch Hazel is inexpensive and works quite nicely on black heads. Give it a try!

some people think it is gross but i think it is fun lol!
it is a little thin metal stick looking thing.
then it has two loops, one at each end.
one loop is flat. to get out black heads.
the other is more like a wire for white heads.

i wish there was some sort of product that really got into your pores. all the basic product are supposed to work....but i mean something that you can feel the dirt dissolving....some kind of mask or astringent...anyone? i also have sensitive skin....so nothing with added fragranceBest stuff to get rid of blackheads?

Ok, there is a homemade remedy that works so well, its just amazing. You will need:
1 sweet potato
1/2 cucumber (take out the seeds and throw out the rest)
1/3 cup shredded coconut
1 avocado
1/4 cup milk (max.)
Microwave sweet potato for 3 minutes on high, then smash it into a mush (adding a little of the milk) or blend it in a food processor. Hold a strainer over the bowl with the potato and force the seeds through it. Do the same with the coconut.
In a separate bowl mash the avocado into a paste, then blend into the rest of the ingredients. Pour in the milk until it becomes the consistency of toothpaste.
Dab this on blackheads every night for about 1 week, and ta da!

See a board certified derm. don't use deodorant soaps/perfumed soaps or antibacterial soaps on your face. don't use liquid makeup as it grows bacteria as soon as you touch it, even that new one with the brush on it, good luck

Remember that blackheads can become infected when removed, the opening fills up with sebum again. Steaming is an excellent way to loosen them. Get a bowl of hot steaming water, put 1 drop lavender oil on the water and cover your head with a towel. Make sure the sides are closed, I'd say about 10 minutes, After that, rinse your face with 1 teaspoon cider vinegar in hot, not boiling water. If the blackhead is loose, gently squeeze without too much pressure. Let your skin air dry.Is there a natural remedy for blackheads?
You could try mixing bicarb soda in with your usual cleanser.

Take granulated sugar with a little water, and scrub away, from blackheads to dead skin, works like a charm.

Use Jojoba oil (found at health food stores) as a facial moisturizer. Jojoba mimics sebum so that your skin will not produce excess oil and it will also loosen the blackheads on your nose. Apply only 4 or 5 drops for your entire face and neck morning and evening. You should see some results within a couple of weeks.
You can make a simple exfoliant using baking soda and witch hazel. Take a tablespoon or so of baking soda and add enough witch hazel to make a paste and use the paste to scrub your face using circular motions. Don't scrub too hard. You can do this a couple of times a week.
You can use just plain old salt water as a toner and it will really make a difference in your skin.How to get rid of spots/blackheads?

Also clean and clear just came out with a vibrating blackhead cleanser. I would look into that in addition to the mask.
It will work, I promise. I have never been impressed with biore.
Oh and also try a little Seabreeze too. The yellow one is the best for blackheads. Just dab a little on after you wash your face.

its a clay mask that you leave on for about 15 min. When the clay dries, it pulls dirt and oil from your pores and get rid of it when you wash it off your face.

don't worry about it. Usually you can squeeze them out, but if it starts hurting when you squeeze the oil out, stop. It can leave a scar. But if its not hurting, just keep squeezing it out. If its kinda stuck, use tweezers to help pull them out. But sometimes it will start bleeding when your trying to squeeze out, so also stop if that happens. Blackheads take a long time to get rid of, like 9 months. Just be patient, and in time will go away. I recommend to go see a skin doctor, stuff sold on TV don't usually work (in my experience). Don't use the wave stuff, it can make your pores bigger.

he products you are using, are they Salsylic Acid or Benzoyl peroxide? BP can be VERY drying. I personally like SA better. Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! Try finding a face lotion with SA in it. Clean and Clear has a good moisturizer with SA and it helps keep pimples at bay. It is only about $5 a bottle and lasts about 2 months and you can get it at your local store. I have used this in the past and it works well. Personally, I use Biore products (which you get over the counter. Their products range from $5-$10). They are harsh on pimples, but not on your face.

1. Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies.
2. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne.
3. Apply a paste of fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves over the face every night for 10-15 minutes and washed with warm water. This will prevent acne, pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles.
4. Place strawberry leaves on the acne, the alkalinity helps to reduce the swelling.
5. Extract juice of one lemon and mix with equal quantity of rose water. Apply this mixture on the face and let it stay for about half an hour. Wash the face with fresh water. About 15 days application helps cure acne, pimples and reduces blemishes and scars.
6. Another method is to massage the face with the skin of lemon before washing with lukewarm water.

15. Mix 1 teaspoon lemon juice in 1 teaspoon finely ground cinnamon powder and apply on affected areas frequently.

27. Essential oil face mask for acne: Use a mask base powder, such as fuller's earth or kaolin powder. Use distilled or filtered water to make a paste. Mix 1 heaped teaspoon of base powder to 3 drops of essential oil. Add approximately 2 tablespoons of the water in, to make a fluid yet balanced paste. Essential oils to add in the mask either separately or try smaller amounts together; cypress oil 1 drop, lemon oil 2 drops, sage oil 1 drop.
28. Mix the paste of tender neem leaves with turmeric and apply of affected area. An eastern approach to acne home remedies.
29. Grind some nutmeg with milk and apply on affected area. Pimples disappear like magic without leaving a mark.
30. Make a mixture of lime juice and rose water. Apply on face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.
31. Make a paste by mixing 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. Repeat for two weeks, pimples will disappear forever.
32. Rub fresh garlic on and around pimples. Pimples will disappear without a mark with regular applications.
33. Mix 1 tsps groundnut oil with 1 tspn fresh lime juice to prevent formation of blackheads and pimples .
34. Ground drumstick pods and leaves and mix mixed with fresh lime juice, and apply on pimples. This is also good for blackheads and dark spots.
35. First wash face and then dab acne with cotton balls soaked in vinegar.
36. Mix groundnut oil with an equal amtount of fresh lime juice and apply on face. leave for 10-15 minutes and wash. It may be applied daily to prevent formation of blackheads, acne and pimples.
37. Apply juice of raw papaya (including the skin and seed) on swelling acne, pimples.
38. Apply fresh lime juice mixed to a glass of boiled milk as a face wash for acne, pimples, blackheads, and ed skin.
39. Apply ripe Tomatoes pulp on acne, pimples and kept upto 1 hour, then wash.
40. Make a paste of roasted %26amp; powdered pomgranate skin with fresh lime juice and apply over acne, boils, pimple, blackheads and whiteheads.

42. Make a paste of ground radish seeds with water and apply on face to remove blackheads.

44. Large pores on facial skin can be treated with paste of sandalwood powder with masoor dal.
45. Use an oatmeal or almond mask throughly to cleanse your face. Mix either oatmeal or almond powder with enough rose water to make a soft paste that spreads easily on the skin. Rub it on your skin with your fingertips, paying special attention the problem areas. Leave to dry for about 15 minutes and then rinse off with cold water. Some excellent stuff by Neutrogena. Buy the dermabrasion kit, Its excellent, after you have exfoliated your skin (taken the dead cells off), black heads come out so easy. Hold a piece of tissue to have a squeeze and watch them just come out like little worms. Then after, wash your face and a nice toner applied on some cotton wool. excellent results. good luck. xx

I'm using simple face wipes and moisturiser and they are working and because the wipes are unscented and colour free they don't dry your skin out give em' a go also there is a cream your can get from the chemist called quinoderm which is really good to it stings a little but it works

You don't need expensive products these can sometimes make your skin worse because of all the chemicals they put in to dry the skin up once you stop using these your skin flares up again,my son suffered with really bad acne when he was uni he cleared it by using a GOOD quality antibacterial soap you can get it in any good chemist (not scented ) about 1-2 times a week get a fresh lemon Squeeze half in to some warm water and rinse your face with it after washing do this at night before you go to bed, the acid in the lemons kills any bacteria left in the pores after washing, Now my son has a face as soft as a baby's bottom, GOOD LOOK xx P.s if your skin does become a little dry stop using the lemon use an un-centred moisturiser you can get a oil of ulay its about a fiver but it will last you a whileDoes any body know a good product that clears, pores, blackheads and spots? Some excellent stuff by Neutrogena. Buy the dermabrasion kit, Its excellent, after you have exfoliated your skin (taken the dead cells off), black heads come out so easy. Hold a piece of tissue to have a squeeze and watch them just come out like little worms. Then after, wash your face and a nice toner applied on some cotton wool. excellent results. good luck. xx

You want to work them off and NOT pull them off.
Wet your face with a mild detergent and keep patting it on (keeping it wet). Using a mild abrasive (even a washcloth) go gently back and forth over the area removing that which can be removed at the time. Do not rush it. The scabs will work off but only after the skin underneath has formed. Pulling off too much will result in reinjuring the skin and more scabbing.
It will take a few days and treatments to accomplish this. Don't rush it.

I just bought this stuff made by Queen Helene. The product is called Mint Julep Masque. I paid like $3 for it at the store. Its supposed to help dry up acne pimples, rinse away blackheads, and shrink enlarged pores. I bought it for my acne. But I will say that it works! It smells minty and its kinda pasty and when it dries on your face, you look like you're wearing a mask lol. It wasn't too hard to rinse off if you use warm water and a washcloth if needed. I didn't need to use the washcloth though. Maybe you should buy the product because it made my skin look so much better. I hope I helped you!

I had the same problem.... in the end, i brought a pack of the pore strips, and done one a day for 6 days, each time steaming my face beforehand...... it worked for me..... hope this helps

Its supposed to help dry up acne pimples, rinse away blackheads, and shrink enlarged pores. I bought it for my acne. But I will say that it works! It smells minty and its kinda pasty and when it dries on your face, you look like you're wearing a mask lol. It wasn't too hard to rinse off if you use warm water and a washcloth if needed. I didn't need to use the washcloth though. Maybe you should buy the product because it made my skin look so much better. I hope I helped you!

After ten minutes or so you peel them off slowly and it pulls the clog out of the pores. Neutrogena and Biore both make pore cleansing face washes. They contain salycilic acid the help slough the old skin and clean the pores. Use a gentle scrub regularly. I alternate between the Biore pore cleansing scrub one day and then the Neutrogena pore cleansing wash the next day. The stop blackheads recurring you first need to empty the pore of the blockage and then make sure the pore closes so that it doesn't fill up with oil again. Use a good quality toner to do this. are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.
Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.
Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.
Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.

I get facials done that remove them, but in between my facials blackheads pop up.
I hold my face over boiling water for a few minutes,
and then use Biore blackhead strips.

You can order a special tool for them but it doesnt work very well(google blackhead extractor). You can try BIORE strips from Target or many other stores. You can use apricot scrub from saint ives, or a scrub from clearisil (that's what I use). Also, after you rinse w/ warm water, you can push down on your nose, and squeeze them out. don't use your nails, and they will come out... it's ok to do that about every week. I wash my face everyday, and every week squeeze them out, then rinse my face w/ cold water to close up my pores again...How do you get rid of blackheads???

Squezing Spots Is Not The Answer And i No How Urging It Is But When You Swueeze You Are Spreading The Germs Which Will Lead To More Spots All You need To Do Is Clense And Tone And Also Steam Your Face Weekly Just Boil The Kettle And Empty It Into A Sink And Put Your Face Over The Sink Under A Towl And After Get Cotton Wool And Dab Your Face See The Results For Your Self !

Squeeze them with two fingers, or buy a face soap that works well. I would reccomend clearasil.
use face wash with the bits in it
or one of those net sponges and scrub the area with the blackheads, after you've done that wash your face with really cold water..popping them makes the area go red, so i advise you not to :)
DONT pick at them. Biore makes blackhead strips that you just moisten and use. you can find them at wal-mart.

Use products that will bring them to the surface, I use prescribed Differin. Once they are on the surface, you need to do this:
Steam your face, try using toner tabs from Lush with the steam
Put on a biore pore strip
Pull the strip off
Scrub the remaining blackheads with St Ives Apricot Scrub
Then put on a calming mask- try the calming mask by mark
It's kind of complicated and gross but it works. It should take 1 week max for the blackheads to come to the surface, if they're already on the surface then you're good to go!

go to a health store and try to find a product called black soap, it is in a bottle. it works on pimples, wrinkles, fungus, and black heads it works for me

in the morning you can use some Neutrogena Oil-free acne wash (it's orange and you can get it at wal-mart) or you can use Noxema original it sort of smells but it works great another thing is Clean %26amp; Clear Astrigent it sort of burns at first but you will get used to it and you could try Neutrogena Rapid clear Acne defence lotion or you can go to your doctor and get a presciption for Benza-clin (it's about $208.00 hope you have insurance but you don't really need it just go with the other things listed),and you could go to macy's and get Clinique one of my friends uses it and it works great and Proactive you can't always trust one of my other friends used it and it made it worse and some people say that Windex and Apple cider vinigar work too if you want it to go away faster and it helps clean it out some but not all the way

I know this may sound weird, but use olive oil! Omg it works soooo great! In one day they already started going away! It works amazingly. So give it a try. Just massage it where your problem is and then leave it there for like 5 minutes and wash it off with warm water! Good luck!

Do not pop them. As tempting as it is to get rid of it quick as possible, popping them will definitely make it worse and create a large pimple that can't be popped until after a few days... I use face washes that are specifically for blackheads like clean and clear.

there's certain face washed you can use you know, don't pop them, it hurts, and blackheads are extremely difficult to get rid of that way. use a blackhead clearing scrub.
Soak the area infected in hot water to open the pores, use a blackhead remover to squeeze out the blackheads. A blackhead remover is a metal rod with a small metal circle at the end to squeeze out small objects like blackheads. If you dont have one, give your face a thorough scrub. Do this twice everyday until they are gone. Hope it works.
buy Proactive, Neutrogena, or Clear and Clean!
or what i do is just wash my face every single night using a simple bar of soap such as Dove. keep doing this and your zits will go away! trust me!
