Whats the deal with blackheads?

whats the deal with blackheads?

what is the black inside them?

why are they there?

why are they so damn annoying?

is it really possible to get rid of blackheads?

if so. how?

thanksWhats the deal with blackheads?
Blackheads are the result of large pores that get filled with dirt/excess sebum. When the sebum in oxygenated - they turn black. Large pores are hereditary, and once you have blackheads -- it is pretty much a full time fight. I have found that Retin A Micro (only a Dermatologist can prescribe it) is the best defense. The Biore pore strips are only a temporary fix.

And yes, they are very annoying.Whats the deal with blackheads?
Blackheads are dead skin cells and sebum (oil) that have clogged a hair follicle (pore) and then oxidized, turning black.

Use an alcohol free toner after cleansing your skin twice a day, and an alpha or beta hydroxy acid exfoliant a few times a week.

Also, get facials periodically. Your esthetician will perform ';extractions';, which is the technical term for squeezing the blackheads out.
Acne Free will eliminate that.
